Everyone who sent in their very own cover design for the COPIC Markerpad by May 31, 2008 was once again competing for the grand prize of a COPIC 214-marker set, valued at €1,200!
This year once again saw a huge number of entries, showing great creativity. Talented artists from both Germany and abroad send us their personal, hand-designed COPIC Markerpad covers. Our 3 jury members – a professor of graphic design, a professional graphic designer and illustrator, and a commercial graphic designer from a leading automotive manufacturer – had a truly difficult time in selecting the very best of the best and deciding on the final placings. However, the following winners have now been named and can look forward to receiving COPIC sets valued at nearly €1,900:

1st Prize: A complete 214-marker COPIC set is awarded to Marika Paul (25) from Pirna,
for her striking picture showing these “wild guys”.
|

2nd prize: A COPIC 72-marker set goes to Willi Giesen from Elsdorf (58) for his impressive diver set against a towering skyline. |

3rd prize: A COPIC 36-marker set goes to Derya Sakin (23) from Stollberg, for the delicate features of her Japanese girl. |
Last but not least, the impressive designs sent in by

Natalie Behle (21) |

Annika Naucke (21) |

Irene Fassnauer (21) |
|

Désirée Kunstmann (16) |

Susanne Laukart (22) |
|
will all be rewarded with one of the new Creative sets, each containing 12 COPIC “ciao” skin colors.
The competition was once again thoroughly enjoyed by artists and jury alike, and will therefore be held next year as well. The theme for 2009 will be the same as before – “Design your own personal Markerpad cover” – with eager artists once again having the chance to win super COPIC prizes. (We especially encourage talented male artists to join in the competition!)
How to compete:

- (Note that entries without these details will not be considered!)
